First edition. The book is firmly bound in slightly bumped and rubbed dark blue cloth lettered in gilt, there are a couple of small marks. The text block is slightly toned, foxed and dusty, with a bookplate to the front endpaper. The dust jacket is the original and correctly priced at 7/6 to the spine, it is a little rubbed and nicked to the edges, with minor foxing. An excellent horror novel, made into the classic and appropriately named 1932 film, ‘The Old Dark House’. Jacketed copies are uncommon, and this example is unusually good.
