First edition. The book is firmly bound in red cloth lettered in black, the corners and spine ends are bumped and rubbed and there are patches of fading. The text block is toned and foxed. The dust jacket is the original with no additional edition statements and ‘William â€“ The Outlaw’ correctly listed as a “2nd edition” to the rear panel, it is slightly grubby, with loss to the bottom of the spine, other minor chips and several closed tears with some associated creasing. The ninth William title and quite uncommon as a jacketed first edition.
