First edition. The book is firmly bound in yellow cloth with a red spine label, lettered and decorated in gilt, the boards are a little bumped and rubbed and there is a faint shadow of the jacket design. The text block is slightly toned and dusty with minor spotting. The dust jacket is the original and not price clipped, it is slightly grubby with minor chips and closed tears to the edges. The second of two risqué novels published by White under the Aston pseudonym, this one involving the mis-adventures of a would be amorous Cambridge don in Italy, who is suffering from an unfortunate case of virginity at the age of 47. Quite uncommon in the jacket with its splendidly evocative period artwork.
