First edition. An attractive book with numerous colour and black and white images of Bosch’s work, as well as some pastiches, but probably chiefly of interest for the design / craft binding, which looks to be contemporaneous with the publication date and is a work of some skill and invention; full red leather with surreal inlaid illustrations and lettering intended as a homage to the book’s subject. The book is firmly bound, the leather is slightly toned to the spine and there are minor marks and dents. The text block is slightly toned with minor marks, it is free from inscriptions. A tactile, visually appealing book, both internally and externally, which would make an excellent gift for medievalists and surrealists alike.
