International League of Antiquarian Booksellers

The International League of Antiquarian Booksellers is not alas some sort of global front for James Bond’s latest nemeses (at least not that we are as yet aware anyway), but instead one of the most important book trade bodies in existence, with over twenty national book-seller associations representative of over thirty countries and around 1,800 dealers. ILAB are involved with many of the top-end book fairs around the world and they bring to bear a strict set of rules and regulations to maintain and develop professional standards throughout the book trade.

J&M Books are fortuitous that, as a result of our membership with the UK’s ABA, we are allowed to make use of many of the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers’ facilities, including its European Fairs for example, as well as the hugely informative and useful ILAB website. We also adhere to their codes of conduct.
